This is an experiment. I'm thinking of requiring students to create a page where they can bookmark and/or embed videos, podcasts, or other relevant web content related to their research. So I'm playing with the system to see what it takes to do that.
So, other than on the main page, you can't add accumulating posts. This is definitely one of the things I find most irritating about Blogger, and the blog format in general. But, I guess you can just continually edit this one entry to add more to it, and make sure to date the entries if they are assignments with a due date.
So you can embed video from YouTube:
You can also embed Ted Talks, a great source for high-quality video presentations by credible experts.
How about embedding an MP3 file? Like this talk "How the Humanities Saved Me from Becoming a Cowboy" I wonder how you embed an MP3 player on Blogger...
Also managed to embed a Twitter feed. But I wish there was a way to do it in the body of a post, not a sidebar. Seems to me that very quickly a blog gets messy and hard to follow when everything is smooshed in the sidebars.
