That is so awesome! I have got to start using this method more often! For those who have never used Glogster before, what one tip would you provide to them?
Nice work! I see you are liking these maps/interactive/stickyboards/infinaite canvases and taking advantage of them. In fact, maybe next semester for this class we will have students do a glog describing the teaching philosophy? I am going to share your glog with the twitterverse!
Thanks Ruth and Todd. Yes, I really like the drag-and-drop programs for creative work. No computing skills needed!
My advice for novice Gloggers is to just dive in and play with it. I suppose organized people might actually plan the layout and think of what images they want before starting, but I just start adding, moving and subtracting things to see what I like. I do work on a section of the page at a time, though, since I get overwhelmed trying to get the distribution of various elements right when I'm working with too many at a time.
You know an Animoto video to express a teaching philosophy would be pretty cool too. Mine would be set to Pink Floyd's "We Don't Need No Education!"
So why not do the animoto. I'll give you 3 extra points and even think more highly of you!
With the Floyd comment I want to share a quote I got from educator in Canada. He says, "Your students’ next learning management system won’t be a learning management system, and it will belong to the student, not you."
So I don't think we don't need no education, I think we (students are going to just make it more personalized and more relevant.
I've been wanting to try Glogster...maybe I will just dive in. That is the message for reticient students, too. Try it and then have a new tool to use.
